Biography

Benjamin is a Postdoctoral Fellow based out of the Estuary and Ocean Science Center in Tiburon, CA. He is currently investigating changes in the establishment of non-indigenous marine invertebrates in Chesapeake Bay and Tampa Bay over the last 20 years. Benjamin is also part of a working group to assess the effectiveness of sentinel site survey programs in detecting non-indigenous marine invertebrates around the world. He received his B.S. in Environmental Science from The Ohio State University and his Ph.D. in Ecology from University of California, Davis. During his Ph.D., Benjamin researched how processes influencing sessile invertebrate communities vary over space and time in Tomales Bay, CA.
