Woodlawn House Exhibit

Kirkpatrick-Howat Portraits

You are standing in front of a fireplace. Three portraits hang over the mantelpiece. To your left is a doorway leading to section six of the exhibition: SERC’s Story. To your right is a graphic panel and artifact case titled “Farming in the 1900s.”

The portrait at the top is of Elizabeth Kirkpatrick-Howat (1877 to 1952). She is painted dressed in white and wearing an elaborate hat with white ribbons on it.

The two portraits below are of Yvone Kirkpatrick-Howat (1921 to 2003) and Lauraine Kirkpatrick-Howat (1922 to 2009). Yvone is painted wearing a wide-brimmed hat and a light blue collar. Lauraine is painted with a bobbed haircut and a white collar. The caption explains that all three of them lived at Woodlawn in the 1900s.
