The right whales of the North Atlantic Ocean are one of the rarest of the great whales, clinging to existence on the very brink of extinction. Their story, along with efforts by scientists and conservationists to save them, has made them icons for the larger quest to restore the ocean. In this illustrated presentation, Dr. Charles "Stormy" Mayo will describe the past, present and future of right whales, including the latest progress to understand and protect them. He’ll also reveal how new research could change the ways we manage open ocean habitats around Cape Cod, where the last right whales still live.

This event will be hosted entirely online, and it will be recorded. Closed captions will be available at the live event and on the recording. By signing up on Zoom, you will also receive a link to the recording a few days after the live event.
