Sarah Wade joined the Advancement team at SERC in March of 2019, capitalizing on her love of the history of the Chesapeake, public engagement, and science. Coming from the world of nonprofits and historic preservation, she is excited to bring her enthusiasm for bettering the community to the Smithsonian. As the Advancement Assistant, she is responsible for handling gifts, serving as a liaison to the Director’s Circle, and planning events. She graduated from Drew University in 2011 with a B.A. in History, with a minor in Political Science. She lives in downtown Annapolis with her husband and dog.
