Gabriel Ng


Gabriel is a post-doctoral researcher with the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center based out at EOS. His projects involve assessing the efficacy of stock enhancement in blue swimmer crab fisheries within the Philippines and designing community surveys to monitor potential introductions of invasive species in the Great Lakes. He received his BS in biology from Cornell University and completed his PhD at UC Davis. For his graduate studies, he explored the role of anti-predatory responses in trophic cascades along the rocky intertidal and also worked on projects including reef restoration and the role of turbulence in larval settlement.
