The programs listed below are designed for children. Parents are encouraged to attend but not required to participate. And don't forget to check out our Family Programs for some great family activities.

Introduction to Nature Drawing for Children, Using Live Bay Animals: Pencil, Pen, and Ink
Children will be introduced to basic drawing, shading, and light and dark techniques used in nature drawings. We’ll then try our hand using a live specimen, either plant or animal. For ages 8-15. Preregistration is required. Go to www.serc.si.edu and click on the public calendar. There you will see the specific link to register for your class. Cost is $12 a person. Please bring your favorite drawing pad/paper, pencils, pens and a snack. Some materials will be available.
