Smithsonian Science:
Fall Family Day
Saturday, Sept. 15, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Join the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center for our fall Science on the Bay family day. The event will feature an outdoor picnic lunch and behind-the-scenes glimpses of our research.

Visit with SERC ecologists to learn about the strange creatures living on the Bay seafloor, explore the wonders of the forest canopy and discover what our Chesapeake marshes will look like 100 years in the future. Visitors also will be able to sort through an oyster bar on the docks and seine in the river. Register online for food tickets, or feel free to bring your own picnic lunch to enjoy on the lawn.
