What Can You Do Here?
In addition to walking SERC three nature trails, you can participate in organized activities for all ages and interest levels! Check out our Calendar of Events to see a monthly listing of all offerings, or follow the links below specific event listings.
During spring, summer and fall, SERC presents guided canoe trips along Muddy Creek for the whole family. Sign up for one of these two-hour trips and learn about the ecology of Chesapeake Bay wetlands and research conducted by our scientists. See our Calendar of Events for trip dates and times which are always on Saturdays, April through October.
Minimum age: 6 years.
Costs: $18/adult, $9/children 6yrs - 13yrs.

and Kayak Launches
You may also launch your own non-motorized craft (canoe or kayak) at our dock and explore our canoe and kayak trail on your own during public hours.
Sign in at the Reed Education Center. A $5 donation is requested. To offload, pull boats around to boat ramp and then park in main parking area after offloading. Find out more.
