Pollywog "Try It" Camp
For children entering Pre-K and Kindergarten (Maximum: 10 campers)

Little ones are encouraged to try this short half-day of camp (with or without parents or guardians) to dip their toes in the world of science and nature camp. We’ll play games, make crafts, sing songs, and more. There will be a story and snack time as well. Pollywogs will meet our resident crabs and turtle, go seining, learn about animals and plants and more!

Camp Discovery - This camp is full. Please contact us to be put on the waitlist.
For children entering grades 1 & 2 (Maximum: 12 campers)

Campers will discover the wonders of nature using the many trails, wetlands and meadows at SERC. They will try their hand at crabbing, go seining for fish as well as meet live animals. Games, arts & crafts, and hands-on activities will be used to help teach campers to be good stewards of the land and the Chesapeake Bay.

Creeks, Creatures, and Canopies
For children entering grades 3 & 4 (Maximum: 12 campers)

Campers will discover the diversity of life by exploring the wetlands, forests, creeks, plants and animals of the Rhode River watershed. They will investigate different types of ecosystems, adaptations of plants and animals, food webs, and other important scientifics concepts in a fun, hands-on way. Games and arts & crafts are part of each day. Wednesday is a field trip day off campus; past trips have included the Baltimore Science Center, the National Zoo, and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Baltimore Aquarium.

Environmental Detective
For children entering grades 5 & 6 (Maximum: 12 campers)

Using our campus as a backdrop, your child will become a SERC sleuth!  Campers will use their investigative skills to uncover the mysteries and the diversity of life in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. They will climb aboard a canoe to develop team-building skills, take hikes to observe old-growth trees, identify animal tracks, and discuss biodiversity.  Wednesday is a field trip day off campus; past trips have included the Baltimore Science Center, the National Zoo, and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Baltimore Aquarium.
